Twenty-two Saipan Awadodori members and nine staff from Kinpachi Restaurant volunteered in the monthly cleanup of Paseo de Marianas last April 23.<\/p>\n
PDM Promoters, Inc.\u2019s Sonia Siwa said they were able to collect a total of 960 lbs of trash during the two-hour cleanup.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one is too old or too young to help. Involving kids in a cleanup is a way to teach them the importance of community and sense of working together,” said Siwa. <\/p>\n
Siwa also thanked the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality for once again helping PDM Promoters by waiving the fee for trash disposal.<\/p>\n
PDM Promoters\u2019 monthly cleanups are held every Sunday and are supported by BECQ and the non-profit\u2019s sponsors T-Galleria and TSL Foundation. <\/p>\n
