(Contributed Photo)

Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja kicked off Teacher’s Appreciation Week on May 1 through 5 with the biblical quote, “He shall teach you all things” (John 14:26).

As the school celebrated Teacher’s Appreciation Week, the quote was the perfect gospel for its Catholic lay teachers.

“Last week was very special at ESFDB because it was Teacher’s Appreciation Week,” said administrator-principal Carmen H. Atalig. “I wanted our students to take the opportunity to thank all their teachers. We have a great Catholic school in the Luta community and it’s because of our Catholic lay teachers.”

Atalig added, “I get asked over and over what makes ESFDB a great Catholic school, and I answer that it’s the teachers. A teacher’s day doesn’t end when the bell rings at dismissal. They still have to plan out their work and correct your work. They are so dedicated to their profession because of you, the students. Thank you teachers for all you do.”

Parent Teacher Organization president Imelda Marie H. Atalig said: “This is a week to share and express gratitude for our teachers, for all the work they do, all of their loving patience, and their constant investment into each child and each family at ESFDB.”

During the week, parents and students gave flowers, thank you cards, fruits and vegetables baskets, and thanks to some parent volunteers who manned the classrooms while teachers took a break to enjoy some treats, courtesy of Rota Mayor Efraim Atalig and Linda Atalig, members of the 16th Rota Municipal Council, Tita A. Hocog, and Rosita A. Hocog and family.

“A huge thank you to our parents and all of you who continue to encourage and value our ESFDB teachers and Catholic community,” said Student Council president Jeremy John Atalig II. “Our teacher’s have done lots of amazing things in our school.”

Class adviser Mary Rose Lucero said, “The week truly does make me feel appreciated. A million thanks to the parents and students.”

To culminate the week, the teachers and parents played a game of volleyball followed by snacks provided by the parents. (ESFDB)

Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja kicked off Teacher’s Appreciation Week on May 1 through 5…

[12
16714,674,1677,16715
post-251958","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-campus-life","tag-appreciation-week","tag-esfdb","tag-eskuelan-san-francisco","tag-parent-teacher-organization
["GET
