Ralph DLG Torres has asked the entire Commonwealth Utilities Corp. board to resign.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The decision could in part be based on the recommendation of House Public Utilities and Communications Committee chair Rep. Frank Del Cruz (R-Saipan).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Torres administration, in a statement, said the board&#8217;s resignation is effective today and that Torres will appoint new members soon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[Gov. Torres] is prepared to appoint a new board to guide the policy direction of the CUC,&#8221; said part of the Office of the Governor statement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More details to follow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
