The Department of Public Safety will be conducting Occupant Protection Child Restraint\/Sobriety checkpoints on Rota on Aug. 2, 3, and 4, 2012.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 2, the first sobriety checkpoint will be held along San Francisco Highway by Tatacho Area, from 7pm to 8:15pm. The second will be along San Francisco Highway by Chaliat Area, from 9:30pm to 10:45pm. The third will be along San Francisco Highway by Lotgan Area, from 12am to 1:15am.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 3, the first sobriety checkpoint will be held along San Francisco Highway by Pinatang Park, from 6:30pm to 7:45pm. The second will be along San Francisco Highway by Guata Area, from 9pm to 10:15pm. The third will be along San Francisco Highway by Sinapalo 3 Park, from 11:30pm to 12:45am.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 4, the first OP\/CR checkpoint will be held along Sinapalo 1 by San Isidro Church, from 10am to 11:15am. The second will be along San Francisco Highway by Uyulan Area, from 1pm to 2:15pm. The third will be along District 2 by Midtown Mart, from 3:30pm to 4:45pm.<\/p>\n
Each checkpoint will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at each location.<\/p>\n
In addition, police officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrol, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.<\/p>\n
Checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain.<\/p>\n
This activity is part of the department’s efforts to ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.<\/p>\n
