Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Ol\u2019Aces Elite notched a pair of wins last week, while DYS Rollers and NMI Rollers topped their respective opponents in the 2017 Francisco M. Diaz Memorial Youth League.<\/p>\n<p>The Ol\u2019Aces Elite first defeated sister team Ol\u2019Aces Extreme, 67-41, in the boys U15 division game last Thursday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium and then had a similar easy victory against the Young Natibu Warriors last Friday, 69-39.<\/p>\n<p>Versus the Young Warriors, the Ol\u2019Aces Elite established an early double-digit advantage at the break, 33-16, and never looked back to remain unbeaten in the division after six games. Rikko Saralu and Duncan Laxa scored 8 points apiece in the first half to lift the Ol\u2019Aces Elite to the 17-point lead.<\/p>\n<p>Laxa and Saralu\u2019s teammates then contributed in the second half to increase their advantage en route to the 30-point winning margin.<\/p>\n<p>Laxa finished with 10 points, while Merrick Toves came off the bench in the second half and also tallied 10 markers. Five more Ol\u2019Aces Elite players chipped in at least 6 markers each to rout the Young Warriors.<\/p>\n<p>Dustin Salilin had 13 points on a losing effort for the Young Warriors.<\/p>\n<p>In the Ol\u2019Aces Elite\u2019s win against the Ol\u2019Aces Extreme, E.J. Abejo and Albert Atan teamed up in powering the former to a 26-point victory. <\/p>\n<p>Abejo scored 16 points, while Atan contributed 15 as the duo outgunned Greg Deleon Guerrero and Frank Mizutani, who combined for 22 points for the Ol\u2019Aces Extreme.<\/p>\n<p>In other results in the boys U15 division, DYS\/NMI Rollers outclassed Kagman Rollers last Saturday, 47-40.<\/p>\n<p>Chioni Dela Cruz and John Paul Cruz made field goals in the homestretch, while T.J. Factor and A.J. Hudkins knocked in important free throws to help DYS\/NMI Rollers slip past Kagman Rollers. Hudkins ended up top-scoring for the winning squad with his 14 points.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in the boys U18 division match last Tuesday, the NMI Rollers also triumphed, crushing the Natibu Warriors, 66-43.<\/p>\n<p>The NMI Rollers led from start to finish to take the easy victory.
