On Thursday last week, President Donald Trump withdrew the country from the accord. <\/p>\n<p>Torres said the U.S. decision means differently for state and territorial governments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt does not mean that state and territorial governments cannot continue to pursue avenues to address issues related to climate change,\u201d said Torres.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that the CNMI hosting the Pacific Islands Environment Conference is a testament the Commonwealth\u2019s dedication and seriousness in addressing global warming and the rising sea levels.
