(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Northern Marianas Trades Institute received yet another warm gift, a $1,500 donation from Triple J Saipan, Inc. just as the institute is getting ready to kick off its 2nd annual dinner fundraiser on Friday, June 23, at the Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan.  <\/p>\n<p>Presenting the $1,500 donation to NMTI were Mario Valentino, Jay Santos, and Alex Camacho of Triple J. <\/p>\n<p>According to Valentino, \u201cas a vested stakeholder we want to see NMTI succeed in their endeavors to educate eligible U.S. workers. Our current investments need NMTI\u2019s students and if [Triple J owner] Mr. Bob Jones could be here today, he would be the one handing this gift over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Triple J family of companies consists of Triple J Motors, Hertz, Triple J Five Star Wholesale Foods, Triple J Truckload Store, Saipan Comfort Homes, Surfrider Resort Hotel, Sandy Beach Homes, Tony Roma\u2019s, Truong\u2019s, Capricciosa, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Surf Club, and, coming soon, Great Harvest Bread Co. <\/p>\n<p>NMTI CEO Agnes McPhetres received the donation.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Jones has been a supporter for quite some time.  Last year he donated $5,000 in Educational Tax Credit to our school. Triple J\u2019s businesses open up doors of opportunities to residents. We are very fortunate to have them as a stakeholder,\u201d said McPhetres.<\/p>\n<p>NMTI\u2019s programs are focused on \u201chands on learning.\u201d Funds generated at this year\u2019s gala will be allocated to the construction of a mock hotel room and restaurant, which will give students in NMTI\u2019s hotel and restaurant program a greater hands-on practice before moving on to the hotels.
