Four others, including a woman who allegedly posed as first lady Diann Torres, were arrested for various criminal offenses on Saipan last week.

Tara Marie Matagolai Namauleg, 30, was arrested for importation of contraband and illegal possession of a controlled substance.

Brenda Marie Kileleman Dionisio, 43, was detained for theft by deception.

Lewis Francisco Aldan, 24, and Tina Anise Lisou, 49, were apprehended for assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Sandeson Ilo Sebuu, 33, was arrested for assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

At a hearing on Friday, Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $100,000 cash bail on Namauleg, $10,000 cash on Dionisio, $5,000 cash each on Aldan and Lisou, and $5,500 on Sebuu.

Preliminary hearing for Namauleg and Dionisio will be on June 30 at 9am, and July 3 at 9am for Aldan, Lisou, and Sebuu.

K-9 officers were inspecting passengers at the Saipan commuter terminal last Thursday morning when a Customs dog named Sid began sniffing the purse of Namauleg, an inbound passenger from Tinian. A Customs inspector found in Namauleg’s purse a baggie containing 4.2 gross grams of crystalline substance that later tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.

Namauleg allegedly admitted to possessing “ice” inside her purse.

In Dionisio’s case, police said she collected a total of $1,450 from a barbecue stand owner by posing as Torres and seeking donation for the Lady Diann Torres Foundation.

Dionisio allegedly introduced herself last June 14 to the barbecue stand owner as Torres and asked for some donations for a boy going through surgery. The woman gave Dionisio $100 cash that same day.

The following day, June 15, Dionisio collected $150 more from the businesswoman after she informed her that the boy died during surgery and asked for donation to raise $800 for a coffin. Dionisio wrote receipts for the two donations.

Last June 16, Dionisio informed the victim that Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang allegedly agreed to open a booth for her barbecue stand for the Liberation Day festivities for $400.

After the victim paid $400, Dionisio asked her to pay another $400, apparently because the fee was increased. The victim paid $400 as Dionisio claimed she would talk to Gov. Ralph DLG Torres to cover the amount. Dionisio issued receipts for the two payments.

The following day, June 17, Dionisio called the victim again to get more money as the vendor fee allegedly went up to $1,200. Dionisio collected $400 more cash from the victim.

Last June 19, Dionisio called the victim and informed her that the Lady Diann Torres Foundation would provide her with a popcorn and cotton candy machine for $100. The victim said she does not have money. Dionisio kept calling, asking for at least $50.

The victim and her husband then attended a meeting with Liberation Day vendors at the mayor’s office last June 20. The couple soon learned that their booth is not included in this year’s Liberation Day.

The mayor’s office staff looked at the couple’s receipts that Dionisio provided and that led to her identification and arrest last June 21.

Police said Dionisio confessed getting a total of $1,450 cash from the victim. She said she gambled away over $1,000 at a poker arcade in Chalan Piao.

In the case against Aldan and Lisou, the two allegedly beat up Aldan’s girlfriend during an argument over alcoholic beverage outside Islanders’ Store in San Antonio on Thursday at midnight.

Aldan allegedly head-butted his girlfriend on the head. Lisou allegedly joined the fight by pulling the victim’s hair and punching her.

In Sebuu’s case, the defendant allegedly dragged his girlfriend outside a car by pulling her hair, then punched and kicked her outside her house in Chalan Kanoa last June 21 at night.

The victim walked to Lao Market along Texas Road in Chalan Kanoa, where she called the police.

The victim suffered a cut on the left eye.

The judge learned that there was an outstanding bench warrant against Sebuu for not appearing at an arraignment last May 1 in his pending criminal case.

In that case, Sebuu was charged with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace for beating up the same girlfriend last Sept. 1.

Customs K-9 officers managed to intercept crystal methamphetamine or “ice” on an inbound flight from…

[900
1351,5924,271,17361
post-255088","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-featured","tag-chalan-kanoa","tag-last-june","tag-liberation-day","tag-tina-anise-lisou
["GET
