{"id":256972,"date":"2017-07-26T06:06:59","date_gmt":"2017-07-25T20:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=256972"},"modified":"2017-07-26T06:06:59","modified_gmt":"2017-07-25T20:06:59","slug":"police-cadet-theft-case-okd-post-500-bail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/police-cadet-theft-case-okd-post-500-bail\/","title":{"rendered":"Police cadet in theft case OK\u2019d to post $500 bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Superior Court released to a third-party custodian yesterday a police cadet facing criminal charges, upon posting a $500 cash bail and $4,500 unsecured bond.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho granted the motion of assistant public defender Shoshanah Epstein to modify the $5,000 cash bail earlier imposed on her client, Aghilimal R. Faisao.<\/p>\n<p>Camacho found former Department of Community and Cultural Affairs secretary Thomas Tebuteb suitable as a third-party custodian for the 21-year-old Faisao.<\/p>\n<p>Faisao is Tebuteb\u2019s son-in-law.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant attorney general Heather Barcinas, counsel for the government, did not object to the bail modification or to Tebuteb\u2019s appointment as Faisao\u2019s third-party custodian.<\/p>\n<p>Among other conditions, Faisao is not allowed to drink alcohol while he is out on bail.<\/p>\n<p>Faisao, through counsel, also waived his right for preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Arraignment will be on Aug. 7.<\/p>\n<p>Faisao was arrested last Sunday midnight for allegedly eating at the Mobil gas station in Chalan Kiya without paying for the items he took and challenging the station\u2019s employee to a fight. <\/p>\n<p>Faisao, who was allegedly very drunk, reportedly made a mess on the table and floor with the food and washed his hands using the soda dispenser in the store. <\/p>\n<p>The police cadet was arrested for theft, theft of service, assault, and disturbing the peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Superior Court released to a third-party custodian yesterday a police cadet facing criminal charges,&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[995,309,17712,17713],"class_list":["post-256972","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-chalan-kiya","tag-ok","tag-shoshanah-epstein","tag-thomas-tebuteb"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/256972","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=256972"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/256972\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=256972"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=256972"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=256972"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
