The Superior Court released to a third-party custodian yesterday a police cadet facing criminal charges, upon posting a $500 cash bail and $4,500 unsecured bond.<\/p>\n
Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho granted the motion of assistant public defender Shoshanah Epstein to modify the $5,000 cash bail earlier imposed on her client, Aghilimal R. Faisao.<\/p>\n
Camacho found former Department of Community and Cultural Affairs secretary Thomas Tebuteb suitable as a third-party custodian for the 21-year-old Faisao.<\/p>\n
Faisao is Tebuteb\u2019s son-in-law.<\/p>\n
Assistant attorney general Heather Barcinas, counsel for the government, did not object to the bail modification or to Tebuteb\u2019s appointment as Faisao\u2019s third-party custodian.<\/p>\n
Among other conditions, Faisao is not allowed to drink alcohol while he is out on bail.<\/p>\n
Faisao, through counsel, also waived his right for preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n
Arraignment will be on Aug. 7.<\/p>\n
Faisao was arrested last Sunday midnight for allegedly eating at the Mobil gas station in Chalan Kiya without paying for the items he took and challenging the station\u2019s employee to a fight. <\/p>\n
Faisao, who was allegedly very drunk, reportedly made a mess on the table and floor with the food and washed his hands using the soda dispenser in the store. <\/p>\n
The police cadet was arrested for theft, theft of service, assault, and disturbing the peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
