{"id":257211,"date":"2017-07-28T06:06:42","date_gmt":"2017-07-27T20:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=257211"},"modified":"2017-07-28T06:06:42","modified_gmt":"2017-07-27T20:06:42","slug":"fbi-engages-businesses-guam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/fbi-engages-businesses-guam\/","title":{"rendered":"FBI engages businesses in Guam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HAGATNA, Guam\u2014The Honolulu Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation hosted a joint information sharing conference yesterday for some of Guam\u2019s leading businesses. <\/p>\n<p>This strategic partnership engagement conference was an opportunity for the FBI and other law enforcement entities to provide the state\u2019s leading industries with unique access to current threats facing the United States as well as specific issues facing Guam. It is part of a national effort lead by the FBI\u2019s Office of the Private Sector to build deeper and more meaningful relationships with infrastructure, industry, and security stakeholders. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTypically, law enforcement challenges are overcome by two elements: meaningful community relationships and coordinated law enforcement response,\u201d said FBI Honolulu assistant special agent in charge Tuan Nguyen. \u201cThe Executive Partnership Engagement Conference is an opportunity for our office in Guam to enhance both these dynamics. Our experience has shown that the time to build these relationships is not in the midst of a crisis.
