Docomo Pacific and United Airlines linked up for the first One Marianas Music and Movie Night at the Francisco C. Palacios Baseball Field last Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Intended to celebrate the launching of Docomo\u2019s cable-powered services on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, the event was the first of its kind to be hosted by Docomo Pacific, according to spokesman Kenneth Quintanilla.<\/p>\n
Docomo Pacific even flew in the group \u201cDolls\u201d from Guam to perform. There were also live performances by local artists Goddhy and Demalynn Pagarao. The movie Beauty and the Beast was later shown, while free food and Docomo Pacific goods were given away.<\/p>\n
Quintanilla said the event was Docomo Pacific\u2019s way to give back to the community and a means to celebrate the unity of the Marianas. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s our way of saying thank you to the Marianas and it\u2019s a celebration of uniting as \u2018One Marianas\u2019 through the launch of our services,\u201d said Quintanilla. \u201cIt\u2019s just our way of saying thank you and showing our appreciation to the Marianas for its support in our journey.\u201d <\/p>\n
Docomo Pacific recently launched new services in the CNMI, including their internet and cable services on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, as part of its Atisa submarine fiber optic cable system.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust Friday, we launched our services on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota,\u201d Quintanilla said.<\/p>\n
He said that Friday night\u2019s event is just a part of a bigger project with Atisa. <\/p>\n
During the celebration, Docomo Pacific offered free food and beverages to the hundreds in attendance. The Hut, Bubba Gump, and Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop were present during the celebration to distribute free meals to individuals who attended the Music and Movie Night. <\/p>\n
Families were also treated to a fireworks show and children were treated to a movie presentation of Disney\u2019s Beauty and the Beast. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
