Indoor volleyball will be making a comeback next month with the group Saipan Volleyball coordinating the tournament.<\/p>\n
Shawna Davis, who helped organize last Saturday\u2019s four-person beach volleyball tournament, said the games held at Sandy Beach were a fundraising event in preparation for indoor volleyball.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a good turnout for the beach volleyball games. This was the first beach volleyball tournament since last year. In 2016, we held three indoor tournaments and one beach volleyball,\u201d said Davis.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut a lot of people are waiting to have an indoor tournament and they have been asking about it. We hope to raise enough money to help pay the use of the (Gilbert C.) Ada Gym[nasium],\u201d Davis said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course the registration fee of each team would also help in the cost of organizing the tournament,\u201d added Davis.<\/p>\n
An indoor volleyball tournament was held last May, a fundraiser for the CNMI team\u2019s participation in the Micronesian Baseball Classic in Guam this year.<\/p>\n
BTG and All About That Ace ruled the men\u2019s and women\u2019s divisions in the 2017 MBC Fundraising Volleyball Tournament. Both teams were undefeated in the tournament to claim the crowns in their respective divisions.<\/p>\n
Last Saturday, Handicapped overcame the twice-to-beat advantage of Hitfaced to win the End of Summer Coed 4-Person Beach Volleyball Tournament.<\/p>\n
