The Office of the Governor issued its list of 14 legal holidays that will be observed in 2018 in the Commonwealth, which means that schools and government offices are closed on those days. <\/p>\n
\u201cAll department and activity heads must ensure that essential public services are not disrupted,\u201d the notice added.<\/p>\n
The holidays are the following:<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tJan. 1, New Year\u2019s Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tJan. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tFeb. 19, President\u2019s Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tMarch 24, Commonwealth Covenant Day, to be observed on March 23<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tMarch 30, Good Friday<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tMay 28, Memorial Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tJuly 4, Independence Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tSept. 3, Labor Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tOct. 8, Commonwealth Cultural Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNov. 4, Citizenship Day, to be observed Nov. 5<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNov. 11, Veterans Day, to be observed Nov. 12<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNov. 22, Thanksgiving Day<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tDec. 8, Constitution Day, to be observed Dec. 7<\/p>\n
