Camacho suspended the proceedings in the case against the former maintenance manager of the Northern Marianas College who is accused of stealing the school’s gasoline supply.

Camacho ordered that the case against 43-year-old Phillip A. Fejeran Jr. be taken off-calendar. The bench trial scheduled for Oct. 16, 2017, is vacated.

In the government’s motion to suspend proceedings last Tuesday, assistant attorney general Heather P. Barcinas disclosed that Fejeran was accepted into the Adult Diversion Program under the Office of Adult Probation and that the agreement was filed with the court.

It means that if the defendant complies with some conditions in the agreement, the case charging him with one count of theft will be dismissed.

The government alleged that on March 7, 2017, March 10, 2017, May 2, 2017, and May 3, 2017, Fejeran stole gasoline belonging to NMC totaling $183 by using NMC’s open fleet card.
