Staff Sgt. David L. Coplin, 35, of Mississippi, is survived by his wife Delora A. Coplin and son, David L. Coplin, Jr.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the accident is under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the worst kind of tragedy when we lose a member of our Air Force family,\u201d said Brig. Gen. Douglas Cox, 36th Wing commander. \u201cOur thoughts and prayers will remain with the families during this process. We ask that the privacy of the families are respected as we grieve. Our top priority is ensuring the welfare of the families and friends affected by this tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron Engineers are trained to be self-sustaining and build and open bases in the most austere environments.
