In previous years, we began and completed several islandwide upgrades and today we are pleased to complete six more major improvement projects,” Ada said.

That includes renovation of the Women’s Affairs Office on Capital Hill, which was completed in early July, the renovation of Building 1223 for the CNMI Women’s Association, and the roof and wall repair of the 4H building in Susupe.

According to Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, government agencies and departments have been able to rehabilitate dilapidated buildings on Capital Hill for official use.

“For many years we’ve seen the abandonment of buildings on [Capital] Hill, which have posed many safety risks but now, with the help of grant funding and the improvement of government resources, rehabilitation of these buildings is increasing. We hope to see in the near future the full utilization of the buildings in the area which should improve efficiency and savings in the long-term,” Torres said.

Road improvements to Gaogao Drive in Kagman and Nativo Drive in San Vicente have also been completed.

“These road improvement and rehabilitation projects are just a few major highlights this year, with many more in the coming months. The completion of the Chalan Kanoa drainage improvement on Texas Road in mid-May was another success and is pending close-out. We really thank our community for their patience with the many road improvement projects as we move forward with much needed infrastructure developments,” Ada said. (PR)

The Technical Services Division of the Department of Public Works recently closed out six major…

[4
8700,182,1114,16639
post-260114","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-affairs-office","tag-capital-hill","tag-dpw","tag-gaogao-drive
["GET
