{"id":260634,"date":"2017-09-19T06:05:18","date_gmt":"2017-09-18T20:05:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=260634"},"modified":"2017-09-19T06:05:18","modified_gmt":"2017-09-18T20:05:18","slug":"team-tinian-goes-3-5-rop-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/team-tinian-goes-3-5-rop-22\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Tinian goes 3-of-5 in ROP 22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Team Tinian fighters went 3-of-5 in last Friday\u2019s Rites of Passage 22: Rampage held at the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.<\/p>\n<p>Luis \u201cTwoTwo\u201d Litulumar of TrenchTech and William \u201cPretty Boy\u201d King of Team Tinian opened things up and despite being featured in an exhibition fight, they gave an impressive performance and showed strong signs of becoming future mixed martial arts warriors.<\/p>\n<p>They electrified the crowd with their aggressiveness inside the eight sides, as if telling everyone that even at a young age they too have the fighting skills. In the end, the judges and guest referee Frank \u201cThe Crank\u201d Camacho declared Litulumar and King as co-winners.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Audrien Cruz gave Team Tinian its first win, after teammate Kimo Adriano lost to Andres \u201cThe Tanapag Beach Bad Boy\u201d Camacho in the third fight of the night.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz only needed 50 seconds in the first round to dispatch George \u201cGame Over\u201d Grover of Zombie MMA by way of submission, while Adriano dropped his match against Camacho via stoppage.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_260635\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-260635\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/trenchtech-300x244.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"244\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-260635\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-260635\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">JON PEREZ<br \/>Team Tinian\u2019s Perry Mundo, left, blocks a kick from Luta Top Team\u2019s L.D. (Jon Perez)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Perry Mundo, also of Team Tinian, and Luta Top Team\u2019s L.D. Ogo put up an electrifying show as their match went the distance and needed the judges\u2019 scorecards in order to determine the winner. The fighters were evenly matched, but in the end it was Mundo who was declared the winner via split decision with scores of 29-28, 28-29, and 30-27.<\/p>\n<p>Austin John King, another Team Tinian bet, won his second fight after beating Atiron Norita in the 1:44 mark of the first round via rear naked choke. Norita answered the call of going up against King just 24 hours before the event, replacing A.J. Barcinas of Luta Top Team.<\/p>\n<p>King\u2019s win somewhat eased the pain of teammate Juschery Castro\u2019s loss to John Mendiola of Luta Top Team. Mendiola defeated Castro by technical knockout with 1:37 in the first round.<\/p>\n<p>In other results, the visiting South Korean fighters won two of their three matches with Min Gu Lee losing in the main event against Rob \u201cThe Deal\u201d Wusstig of Guam in the lightweight title bout.<\/p>\n<p>Sang Hyun Park of Team Ace MMA Korea got the better of Rota native Juan \u201cHot Pocket\u201d Lizama of Steel Athletics Guam. The 43-year-old South Korean used a triangle choke in forcing the younger Lizama, 23, to tap at the 2:13 of the second round.<\/p>\n<p>Korean Top Team\u2019s Sung Kwon Kim closed out the undercard bouts with an impressive win over Patrick Ungcangco of Steel Athletics Guam by way of rear-naked choke with 2:20 left in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>Steel Athletics\u2019 Jaybo Frederick only needed 2:30 in beating Alejandro \u201cThe Outlaw\u201d Tebit of Ghasias Brothers Fight Club via TKO, while Red Ants Academy\u2019s JBoy Langu defeated Zombie MMA\u2019s Manny \u201cThe Kid\u201d Camacho in the 1:50 mark of the first round by stoppage.<\/p>\n<p>Derrick Evangelista of Guam Muay Thai performed the traditional Wai Kru Ram Muay ritual dance before facing independent fighter Railey Miwata.
