A 30-year-old construction worker was allegedly injured by electric shock at the casino project in Garapan Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
As this developed, a 25-year-old woman was revived after a near-drowning incident at a private swimming pool on Railroad Drive in Papago Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services spokesman Derek Gersonde said they received a call from Department of Public Safety 911 dispatch at 3:19pm on Monday, reporting that a worker had been \u201celectrocuted\u201d at the construction site of the Imperial Pacific Resort.<\/p>\n
DFEMS medics came upon a man who was showing signs of pain on his left arm and some burns on his hand, said Gersonde.<\/p>\n
According to the on-scene translator, the worker, a Chinese national, had been using an electric saw when he suddenly received an electric shock.<\/p>\n
Medics brought the worker to the Commonwealth Health Center.<\/p>\n
DFEMS did not release information about the victim\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n
In the near-drowning case, Gersonde said that that DFEMS received a call from DPS 911 dispatch at 3:05pm on Monday about a possible drowning incident at a home in Papago.<\/p>\n
Upon arriving at the house, medics came upon a 25-year-old woman who was being revived by a bystander via cardiopulmonary resuscitation.<\/p>\n
Medics found the woman with no pulse and not breathing. Emergency medical technicians then performed CPR on scene and on the way to CHC.<\/p>\n
EMTs later left the hospital after the victim was found to have a pulse, Gersonde said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
