Saleh<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Assistant public defender Jamal A. Saleh has been reported missing since Tuesday morning from his residence in Chalan Santa Lourdes, Asteo. <\/p>\n<p>Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Lt. Jason Tarkong described Saleh as 49, an Arab\/native Indian, about 200 lbs, and has long gray hair.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said that on Tuesday at 11:36am, police responded to a complaint about a missing person in Asteo.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said police learned from a witness that her friend, Saleh, is missing.<\/p>\n<p>At 1:30am that same day, Tuesday, Saleh apparently could not sleep and went for a walk.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, the witness texted the lawyer, but there was no reply.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said Saleh has not returned home and has not reported to work at the Office of the Public Defender.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong urged anyone who has information about Saleh\u2019s whereabouts to call DPS at 664-9000\/9001. <\/p>\n<p>Saleh was admitted to practice law in the CNMI courts as an assistant public defender on June 2, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan Tribune learned that he came to Saipan this year from the U.S. mainland together with assistant public defender Shoshanah Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>Saleh filled the position of assistant public defender Michael Sato, while Epstein filled the position of assistant public defender Tillman Clark. <\/p>\n<p>Saleh previously worked as a lawyer in the Federated States of Micronesia and other U.S. jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<p>A fellow attorney said yesterday that Saleh is genuine, kind, and caring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s a good lawyer and a good person,\u201d said the lawyer, who requested not be identified. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant public defender Jamal A.
