{"id":262807,"date":"2017-10-23T06:00:45","date_gmt":"2017-10-22T20:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=262807"},"modified":"2017-10-23T06:00:45","modified_gmt":"2017-10-22T20:00:45","slug":"nmisf-certifies-two-age-group-records","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/nmisf-certifies-two-age-group-records\/","title":{"rendered":"NMISF certifies two more age group records"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Northern Mariana Islands Swimming Federation recognized two more CNMI age group marks made by Tsunami Swimming Center Saipan\u2019s Ashley Dangol and Juhn Tenorio during the NMISF Opening Meet held early this month at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool.<\/p>\n<p>Dangol clocked in at 1:14.43 in the girls 11 to 12\u2019s 100m backstroke, eclipsing by more than two seconds the previous mark of former Tsunami Saipan swimmer Miku Tammy. Tammy\u2019s record read at 1:16.97 and was made on March 14, 2015.\t<\/p>\n<p>With her new mark in the 100m backstroke, the 11-year-old Dangol now owns two records in her new age group. NMISF earlier recognized Dangol\u2019s 50m backstroke mark (34.37 seconds) along with the record (2:33.42) of Nelson Batallones in the boys 13 to 14\u2019s 200m butterfly and the 5:32.02 Saipan Swim Club\u2019s Jinnosuke Suzuki registered in the boys 11 to 12\u2019s 400m individual medley.<\/p>\n<p>Dangol\u2019s  1:14.43 was also the second fastest among the seven swimmers that completed the two-lap race. SSC\u2019s Lennosuke Suzuki got the best time in the 100m backstroke with his 1:12.69, while his younger brother Jinnosuke was ranked third overall after submitting 1:14.95. Others who finished the race were Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Ayumi Obligacion (1:33.37) and SSC\u2019s Jin Ju Thompson (1:26.27), Sophia Gauran (1:28.80) and Anthony Camacho-Deleon Guerrero (1:24.27).<\/p>\n<p>In the 50m backstroke, Tenorio logged 31.31 seconds and was the fastest among the 19 swimmers who did the sprint event.
