(Contributed Photo)\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p><strong>TAMUNING, Guam<\/strong>\u2014For the 11th year, Docomo Pacific will be having its \u201cBe Seen, Be Safe\u201d Halloween campaign on Guam and in the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>The annual campaign aims at keeping children safe this Halloween through the free distribution of 25,000 glow sticks starting Oct. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBe Seen, Be Safe\u201d campaign started in Guam in 2006 and on Saipan a few years later, together with the Guam Police Department, to ensure the safety of kids trick-or-treating on Halloween night.<\/p>\n<p>Docomo Pacific is partnering up with Calvo\u2019s SelectCare, Mobil Oil Guam, and JV International Safety Equipment to make the \u201cBe Seen, Be Safe\u201d campaign grow and help thousands of children experience a safer Halloween.<\/p>\n<p>Distribution of glow sticks will start on Friday, Oct. 27, to Tuesday, Oct. 31, while supplies last. <\/p>\n<p>The following locations will distribute one glow stick, per child:<br \/>\n\u2022 All Docomo Pacific stores (in Guam and on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota);<br \/>\n\u2022 GPD precincts in Agat, Hagatna, Dededo, and Tamuning;<br \/>\n\u2022 Mobil service stations in Yona, Ysengsong, East Hagatna, and Agat;<br \/>\n\u2022 Calvo\u2019s SelectCare (in Guam and on Saipan); and<br \/>\n\u2022 JV International Safety Equipment Co.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBe Seen, Be Safe\u201d Halloween campaign is a public-private partnership between Docomo Pacific and the Guam Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>This program has given GPD a \u201cfront and center\u201d opportunity to meet the children (and adults) who plan to enjoy Halloween in a safe and courteous manner by using the glow sticks while walking about in the dark. The glow sticks effectively alert motorists to trick-or-treaters and other pedestrians in the area. When would-be trick-or-treaters visit precincts for their glow sticks, GPD personnel get the privilege of engaging in safe practices discussions with them and\/or their adult supervisors. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t thank Docomo Pacific enough for their persistence in helping us keep Guam\u2019s streets safe on the busiest night for pedestrian traffic and movement,\u201d said GPD chief JI Cruz<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Higa, Docomo Pacific\u2019s chief commercial officer, said, \u201cHalloween is an exciting and festive time of the year for children of all ages.
