Ralph DLG Torres signed the following bills into law:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; House Bill 20-66, which eliminates the condition that mandatory drug testing is subject to the availability of funds. This bill becomes Public Law 20-24.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; House Bill 20-20, which provides veterans a discounted benefit for the vehicle registration fee. This bill becomes Public Law 20-25.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Senate Bill 20-15, which establishes a regent nominating committee process in the selection and appointment of regents to the Northern Marianas College board. This bill becomes Public Law 20-26.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> -House Local Bill 20-41, which appropriates $9,336 of the funds allotted to Tinian under Public Law 18-30 to the Office of the Mayor of Tinian and Aguiguan for personnel, operations, and local programs. This bill becomes Tinian Local Law 20-06.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, Torres disapproved House Bill 20-63, HS1, which would have required test firing of all firearms as a prerequisite for registration of a firearm.
