The library of Kagman High School has been awarded a $1,000 grant to buy books for its collection.<\/p>\n
The money came from Sisters in Crime\u2019s We Love Libraries program. Sisters in Crime is dedicated to promoting the ongoing advancement, recognition and professional development of women crime writers. Its members are authors, readers, publishers, agents, booksellers, and librarians bound by a passion for the mystery genre. <\/p>\n
Libraries in the United States, including commonwealths and territories, can enter the group\u2019s monthly We Love Libraries lottery by submitting an entry form and a photo of one or more staff members with three books by Sisters in Crime authors.<\/p>\n
\u201cKagman High School is extremely grateful and excited to be the October 2017 winner of the\u00a0Sisters in Crime We Love Libraries program,\u201d said Kagman High School librarian Maria Ornes. \u201cWe plan on using the money to update our library collection with student selected mystery and suspense novels. Sisters in Crime\u2019s We Love Libraries program has just made it easier for us to build and maintain a current and relevant library collection for our students. Thank you!\u201d<\/p>\n
