(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Northern Marianas Bodybuilding and Physique Federation president John Davis is now a certified international judge after earning his license during the South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships and Congress held last month in Honiara, the Solomon Islands.<\/p>\n<p>Davis attended the event to represent the CNMI and was also awarded a license, making him an internationally-accredited bodybuilding judge\u2014a first in the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am, to the best of my knowledge, the first person from the CNMI to be certified as an international judge. I have yet to test judge for the World Bodybuilding &amp; Physique Sports Federation,\u201d said Davis.<\/p>\n<p>He added that anyone from the CNMI who wishes to become an internationally-accredited test judge must first be qualified in the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGenerally, anyone from the CNMI who wishes to judge at international events sanctioned by the [WBPSF] and the South Pacific Bodybuilding Federation must first be qualified in the Commonwealth prior to test judging at the international level,\u201d Davis said.<\/p>\n<p>The NMBPF is the recognized group in the CNMI and is authorized to issue judging cards to qualified individuals. It is also responsible in nominating individuals who would want to be a test judge at the  international level or in SPBF and WBPSF events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be a judge in the CNMI, one must be a member in good standing with the NMBPF and attend a basic judging seminar,\u201d said Davis, who also heads the CNMI weightlifting group and was one of the test judges in the bodybuilding competition in the 2015 Pacific Games held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been authorized by WBPSF vice president for Oceania Patrick Mounier to present the basic judging seminar.
