China\u2019s Wuhan TV Station turned its travel eye to the Northern Mariana Islands this month with a production team visit to Saipan and Tinian.<\/p>\n
Wuhan TV\u2019s \u201cYou You Tian Xia\u201d (Around the World) program taped a 30-minute program on Saipan and Tinian to air to its 2 million viewers. \u201cYou You Tian Xia\u201d is a travel show with knowledgeable, informative and entertaining significance, targeting travel lovers and travel agents.<\/p>\n
The FAM(iliarization) tour began Oct. 14, 2013, in Saipan, where the media group covered many of the major attractions of the islands, including the most popular scenic and historic sites of Bird Island Lookout, Banzai Cliff, Last Command Post, and Grotto. The group also took a jungle tour, a sunset dinner cruise, and a submarine tour. Shopping options were explored at DFS Galleria, and water sports at the iconic Managaha were enjoyed, including banana boating, snorkeling, and parasailing.<\/p>\n
After a short flight to Tinian, the group conducted an island tour, filmed at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino, and spent time exploring the island\u2019s other attractions.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we see in continued visitor arrivals growth from China, word is getting out in the market about the convenience and beauty of spending a holiday in the Northern Mariana Islands,\u201d said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing manager Bruce Bateman. \u201cVisitors from China are in important and growing part of the Northern Marianas\u2019 economic recovery and industry health.\u201d<\/p>\n
