The Saipan Baseball League is encouraging interested teams to start their preparation for the 2018 season, which SBL plans to open either by late January or early February.<\/p>\n
SBL coordinator Tony Rogolifoi is urging teams and players to begin securing their respective uniforms and other equipment.<\/p>\n
\u201cTeam sponsorship have to be secured, team attire and game equipment and other team necessities are also required, and must be purchased prior to opening day,\u201d said Rogolifoi.<\/p>\n
Waivers and other forms are available at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium, while a meeting will be scheduled next month. Managers, coaches, and players are advised to wait for additional announcements.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the SBL is trying to finish the Masters and Under 25 leagues this month or before the year ends.<\/p>\n
To meet its target, the SBL has started having the Masters league play two games with a two-hour time limit a few weeks ago, The league also plans to add a Saturday schedule to make sure the season will be completed before the Saipan Little League opens its competition.<\/p>\n
