Reyes Elementary school in 2000. During her first year she taught first grade. Since then she has served in a variety of PSS schools at the elementary level, middle school level and also high school lever. She has worn so many different hats such as: a class room teacher, counselor and vice principal.

We are very lucky to have her as our Vice Principal this school year. I asked her what were some positives, disadvantages and challenges she faces being a Vice Principal. Her reply was that one of the positives is trying to make the school a better place for students, teachers and staff. A place where students want to come to school every day, have fun learning and be safe. One disadvantage is not having a summer break as a vice principal, she works the entire year with or without students on campus. Mrs. Jocelyn said the challenges are dealing with the unknowns that come up frequently and solving the problems. In order for Mrs. Jocelyn to become a vice principal she had to graduate high school, graduate college with a Bachelor Degree and then further her education to receive a Master’s Degree.

The reason Mrs. Jocelyn wanted to be a vice principal was because she wanted to have a larger impact on student’s achievement, being able to work with other teachers, school leaders and the community to create a better learning environment for students and staff here at WSR. We are blessed to have Mrs. Jocelyn as our Vice Principal.

Mrs. Jocelyn Manibusan-Tudela started her employment at William S.
