There will be a scheduled power interruption on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, from 5:30am to 10:30am to allow line crew of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to safely replace three wooden power poles with concrete poles along Chalan Tun Thomas P. Sablan in San Antonio.<\/p>\n
This is part of an ongoing hazard mitigation project of the Federal Emergency Management Agency that involves replacing 787 wooden poles with concrete poles. <\/p>\n
A total of 483 wooden poles have already been replaced, leaving 304 that still needs to be replaced. <\/p>\n
Areas to be affected include Kiya 2 (2nd Partial) affecting Chalan Tun Thomas P. Sablan in San Antonio (Lililok Pl., Alu Dr., and Bua Ln.) and Afetna Road. No water well will be affected but the A-3 wastewater lift station will be affected. <\/p>\n
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. <\/p>\n
