Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Black Mamba\u2019s Alex Lauron and Batang Bear Brand\u2019s Ron Gamboa won the most coveted individual award in the 2nd Ali\u2019i Blue Haus Invitational Basketball League.<\/p>\n<p>Lauron was named the regular season most valuable player, while Gamboa took the Finals MVP title during the awards ceremony for the IT&amp;E-sponsored league last Saturday night at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium. <\/p>\n<p>The Black Mamba forward averaged in double figures in scoring, leading his squad to a seven-game winning streak in the elimination. Lauron and his Black Mamba were then ranked third after the regular season as it earned a 7-4 record in the round-robin competition.<\/p>\n<p>Gamboa, on the other hand, top-scored in Batang Bear Brand\u2019s 88-69 demolition of the Silencer in their winner-take-all title match last weekend. Gamboa exploded for 33 points, as Batang Bear Brand hardly missed the contribution of Hal Spott with the former stepping up and making rally-halting baskets in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>Both Gamboa and Lauron received trophies and cellular phone presented by  Blue Haus\u2019 Cecille Camama and IT&amp;E\u2019s Rob Harell.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, medals were awarded to Mythical Five members Sean Rabasto of Empe Light, Tropang Ridhors\u2019 Ken Viray, White Haus\u2019 Jun Tabora, the Silencer\u2019s Mike Estores, and Lauron.<\/p>\n<p>Other individual awardees in the league were Sixth Man Joseph Galulu of Team Sawi, Best in Sportsmanship Gino Libuw of Vendetta, and Best Defensive Player Yosh Gabaldon of Black Bamba.
