Some of the more reputable ones were fired recently when women started singing discordant Christmas songs. Would you believe some members have used taxpayers’ money to pay for settlements of their indiscretions? Crazy, huh?

But then promiscuity isn’t anything new on the islands. But painful and costly divorce has taught the guys to sing Love Me Tender even in court.

Scandal: The avalanche of sexual scandal sweeping Hollywood and Washington has quickly evolved into a prominent item on the national agenda. Most have said something about it, though none has really addressed the culprit in what’s known as male libido.

Bill Clinton and the late Ted Kennedy are nationally famous as sexual predators. Most recently, Matt Lauer’s “Morning Show” at NBC turned instantly to “mourning” show when his firing was announced.

Geraldo Rivera asserted that news work is a “flirty” business. Maybe. But the male attitude of control must be addressed and domesticated. If I may reiterate, male libido needs to be conditioned so it stays inside denim covers at all times.

Beyond: The denial of local immigration since 2008 basically severs the ability of the NMI to work with both hands dealing with growth and development. The use of CW-1 workers is slated to end in 2019. It would significantly sink the single-engine tourism economy in ways that would force support industries out of business too.

We’ve litigated the issue but were unsuccessful in that the court thought the NMI misunderstood the sovereign rights of the feds on immigration control. The U.S. agreed to it and thus was its inclusion in the Agreement from the outset.

Sad that as the local economy rebounds however slowly, there’s this serious threat that could render persistent bankruptcy of the local government. It’s an issue, however, that requires communications with appropriate congressional committees who need to be informed how dire the impending imposition would be on the local economy.

If the NMI needs the assistance of professional firms to convey this message then by all means all must join hands so it’s done forthwith. The ability to move out of the impending fiscal rot is to ensure there are sufficient foreign workers who could fill these jobs. A realistic time frame may be in order to address and resolve this issue once and for all. It’s all a matter of inclusive discussion so the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. This is a must hence.

Abuse: Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas, host and commentator at Fox News, wrote a scathing piece on Lois Lerner who ran the IRS under the Obama administration:

“Lerner and her co-conspirators ran a division of a criminal enterprise known as the IRS. They used their public positions to bully, harass, intimidate, criminalize and bankrupt innocent citizens who held political views that the government should be censored.

“When a powerful arm of the federal government uses its almost unlimited power and budget to target an enemy and shut down that citizen’s First Amendment right of free speech or freedom of religion or association, it IS censorship, but it’s much more. It’s jack-booted bureaucrats run amok and it’s an abuse of power far more frightening than anything Richard Nixon ever did or was accused of.

“Lois Lerner and Associates joked about the stonewalling of IRS applications from groups they hated, then clammed up and claimed the Fifth Amendment before Congress, which had every right to demand an explanation of why government goons figuratively ‘broke the legs’ of groups who were conservative, Christian, pro-life, pro-marriage or pro-Israel. The recent settlement of $3.5 million in a class-action suit filed by tea party groups due to the IRS’ bullying activities wasn’t paid out of Lois Lerner’s ample retirement fund that the taxpayers provide. You paid it. I paid it. And I’m seething over it!”

She now insists that her emails be sealed for fear of her life. Excuse me, what about the lives you ruined while head of the IRS? This case merits investigation and prosecution to the hilt! It should be exposed so taxpayers know the extent how abuse of power could ruin livelihood in the most egregious ways.
