{"id":266605,"date":"2017-12-18T06:00:43","date_gmt":"2017-12-17T20:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=266605"},"modified":"2017-12-18T06:00:43","modified_gmt":"2017-12-17T20:00:43","slug":"military-conduct-training-w-17-fdm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/military-conduct-training-w-17-fdm\/","title":{"rendered":"Military to conduct training at W-17, FDM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ASAN, Guam<\/strong>\u2014The military will conduct training at Warning Area 517 (W-517) during the following dates and times:<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 18 from 8:30am to 1:30pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 19 from 1-5pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 20 from 9:30am to 9:30pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 21 from 7:30am to 5pm<\/p>\n<p>The military will also conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 18 from 8:30am to 1:30 pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 19 from 8:30am to 5pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 20 from 9:30am to 9:30pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 21 from 7:30am to 5pm<\/p>\n<p>It is recommended the general public, fishermen and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.<\/p>\n<p>W-517 is activated south of latitude 12\u00b0 40\u2019 00\u201dN. Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Banks are open for public use. W-517 begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. W-517 supports surface and aerial gunnery, missiles, and laser exercises. W-517 is contained within the following coordinates: 13\u00b0 10\u201dN\/144\u00b0 30\u201dE, 13\u00b0 10\u201dN\/144\u00b0 42\u201dE, 12\u00b0 50\u201dN\/144\u00b0 45\u201dE, 11\u00b0 00\u201dN\/144\u00b0 45\u201dE, 11\u00b0 00\u201dN\/143\u00b0 00\u201dE, 11\u00b0 45\u201dN\/143\u00b0 00\u201dE, 12\u00b0 50\u201dN\/144\u00b0 30\u201dE.<\/p>\n<p>The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be in a 12-nautical mile radius of the island.
