{"id":266950,"date":"2017-12-22T06:00:02","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T20:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=266950"},"modified":"2017-12-22T06:00:02","modified_gmt":"2017-12-21T20:00:02","slug":"coast-guard-recognizes-grand-prize-winner-art-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/coast-guard-recognizes-grand-prize-winner-art-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Coast Guard recognizes grand prize winner of art contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>HONOLULU<\/strong>\u2014Coast Guard Sector Honolulu command presented the grand prize winner of the North American Marine Environment Protection Association\u2019s \u201cConnecting Ships, Ports and People\u201d art contest at to a student Kapolei Middle School, Oahu, Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Camille Quindica, an 8th-grader, was named the grand prizewinner and was personally presented a certificate, gift certificate and Coast Guard gear along with her artwork in the NAMEPA 2018 calendar.<\/p>\n<p>The art contest was sponsored by NAMEPA, The U.S. Coast Guard and the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organization of the American States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have winners from overseas and all over and we\u2019ve been quite fortunate here in Hawaii,\u201d said Cmdr.
