TUMON, Guam\u2014Illusionists Chris and Ryan Zubrick, currently headlining the sensational \u201cZUBRICK\u201d show at the SandCastle Dinner Theatre in Guam, will receive the magic industry\u2019s most prestigious honor today when they are presented with a Merlin Award for \u201cBest Family Magic Show\u201d by the International Magicians Society. <\/p>\n
Tony Hassini, society chairman and CEO, is traveling to Guam to make the presentation at the SandCastle. <\/p>\n
\u201cThrough dedication and incredible talent, Chris and Ryan have made the ZUBRICK brand the gold standard in magic and family entertainment,\u201d Hassini said. \u201cThey are very deserving of the industry\u2019s top honor.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cThe \u2018ZUBRICK\u2019 show has elevated quality entertainment to levels never before seen [in] Guam,\u201d said Mark Baldyga, chairman and CEO of Baldyga Group, which operates the SandCastle. \u201cI am delighted Chris and Ryan are being recognized at the highest levels of their craft.\u201d <\/p>\n
The Merlin Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by the magic community and is based on talent, showmanship, originality, skill, and the ability to entertain under any conditions. Likened to the \u201cOscar of Magic,\u201d previous recipients include Criss Angel, Siegfried & Roy, Penn & Teller, Doug Henning, and David Copperfield. <\/p>\n
