The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is making ready for its signature fundraiser, the installation of new officers, which will happen on Jan. 27, 2018.<\/p>\n
According to Chamber executive director Jill Arenovski, there will be a change of event title this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re changing the name from \u2018installation event\u2019 to \u2018Business Person of the Year gala\u2019 in order to re-focus on the Business Person of the Year nominees and the announcement of the 2017 winner,\u201d she said.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
She assured though, that the installation of the Chamber\u2019s board of directors will remain a very important part of the event.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to start the new year on a positive note, with some fun and friendship and laughter,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n
Arenovski expects many prior Business Person of the Year recipients to attend.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe loved having so many prior [award] recipients in attendance last year, and hope that more past honorees will join us this year,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The nominees for 2017 BPOY will be announced next week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Jan. 27 BPOY gala at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan will focus on these nominees, \u201cand what they do for our community so that everyone can get to know them better,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
