Six prominent businesspersons have been nominated for the 2017 Business Person of the Year award of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n
The nominees are Velma Palacios and Rose Soledad, both of IT&E; Tyrell Pauling of Hyatt Regency Saipan; Jay Santos of Triple J Wholesale; Yoshihito Shibahata of Pacific Islands Club; and Ivan Quichocho of TanHoldings Corp.<\/p>\n
According to Chamber executive director Jill M. Arenovski, the six have accepted their nominations.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow the process moves to judging,\u201d she said in an email message to Chamber members.<\/p>\n
The winner will be announced at the Business Person of the Year Gala on Jan. 27 at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur [gala] will focus on these nominees, and what they do for our community.\u00a0 We know you will enjoy getting to know them better,\u201d said Arenovski.<\/p>\n
The gala used to be called the Chamber\u2019s \u201cInstallation Dinner,\u201d signifying the installation of the organization\u2019s new officers and board members.
