To move forward with the second phase of the Kagman community park, the Rotary Club of Saipan plans to raise funds through an anniversary gala. <\/p>\n
During the Rotary Club meeting last week, Rotary Club president Thomas Thornburgh said it has been decided that the club\u2019s upcoming anniversary celebration would be a public gala. <\/p>\n
\u201cAt the last board meeting we had, which was back in December, we agreed\u2026to open up [the 50th anniversary celebration] to the public,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
Thornburgh said they are looking at $100 per plate and the funds raised would go to completing the second phase of the Kagman community park that the Rotary Club started in 2017. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe Kagman phase II fundraiser is what we will isolate as our target for that fundraising activity,\u201d said Thornburgh. <\/p>\n
The club\u2019s inspiration will be the Micronesia Island Nature Alliance\u2019s Green Gala that was held at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan last September. \u201cWe\u2019re going to try and make it kind of like the Green Gala,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
