{"id":268562,"date":"2018-01-24T06:00:02","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T20:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=268562"},"modified":"2018-01-24T06:00:02","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T20:00:02","slug":"pdm-cleanup-yields-760-lbs-trash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/pdm-cleanup-yields-760-lbs-trash\/","title":{"rendered":"PDM cleanup yields 760 lbs of trash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PDM Promoters, Inc. did its first cleanup of the year last Saturday, with its volunteers collecting a total of 760 lbs of trash.<\/p>\n<p>The non-profit organization\u2019s 28 volunteers\u201422 Saipan Awaodori members and Kinpachi Restaurant staff led by Misako Kamata, PDM Promoters CEO and director\u2014did the cleanup at Paseo de Marianas and the alleyways between Coral Tree Avenue, Beach Road, and American Memorial Park. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPDM Promoters, Inc. is committed in organizing cleanup activities as it is our mission to clean, educate, and involve the local children through volunteerism,\u201d said PDM Promoters monthly cleanup drive coordinator Sonia G. Siwa.<\/p>\n<p>PDM Promoters\u2019 cleanups are held every Saturday and are supported by the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality and the non-profit\u2019s major sponsors, T-Galleria and TSL Foundation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the help and monetary support of our two major sponsors as well as from BECQ and [the Division of Solid Waste Management] for waiving the fee for trash disposal,\u201d said Siwa.<\/p>\n<p>Siwa said T Galleria and TSL Foundation\u2019s support enables them to have the cleaning materials needed on their cleanups.
