{"id":268575,"date":"2018-01-24T06:06:25","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T20:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=268575"},"modified":"2018-01-24T06:06:25","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T20:06:25","slug":"wap-staff-visit-tinian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wap-staff-visit-tinian\/","title":{"rendered":"WAP staff to visit Tinian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Staff from the Weatherization Assistance Program of the CNMI Department of Public Works, Division of Energy Office will be on Tinian for three days to provide on-site assistance regarding the application process and the program services available to qualified low-income eligible residents.<\/p>\n<p>They will be on Tinian on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 9:30am to 11:30am, at the Man\u2019Amko Center, and from 12:30pm to 3pm at the Tinian Mayor\u2019s Office; on  Friday,  from 8am to 11:30am at the Tinian Youth Center .  <\/p>\n<p>With the services available, residents are able to make the necessary upgrades to improve the efficiency of their homes by replacing inefficient lightings and appliances with ones that are energy-efficient, Energy Star-rated lightings and appliances that lower energy use to reduce high energy bills.<\/p>\n<p>To avail of the program services, applications are available at the Tinian Mayor\u2019s Office or you may obtain an application for services by downloading a copy of an application from our website at www.cnmienergy.com.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information, you may contact Christina Babauta, program manager, or Alexandro Castro Jr., auditor, at 664-4480\/4481 or fax 664-4483, Monday-Friday, except weekends and holidays, from 7:30am to 11:30am and from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Thelma B. Inos, Energy director, encourages everyone in the CNMI to make their homes more energy-efficient by replacing inefficient lightings and appliances with qualified energy-efficient, Energy Star-rated products.<\/p>\n<p>Funding opportunity for these programs is made possible by the U.S. Department of Energy through a grant from the Weatherization Assistance Program.
