He had three wins by submission and another three by decision—the last a split against Australian Damien Brown in UFC Fight Night 121: Werdum VS Tybura in November last year.

Camacho, before making his debut on the UFC stage and meeting Brown, won four of his six fights by KO in various mixed martial arts events in the Marianas, the last a TKO victory (punches) against South Korean Hyun Joo Kim in Rites of Passage 20: Conquer. His boxing skills were again in full view against Brown at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia. Judge Kevin Manderson saw the fight at 29-28 for Brown, while Chris Aliendi scored it 29-28 for Camacho. The pride of the Marianas eventually won the hotly contested bout after judge Evan field called the fight in Camacho’s favor, 30-27.

Camacho, in an interview with MMA Junkie Radio, said he’s always been ready to climb the cage anytime. “I’m feeling real good. Mentally, I feel like a 19-year-old where you don’t need to warm up and just go at it.”

He said he’s also glad to finally make it to the UFC even though he’s already 28 years old.

“I’m still learning, now that I’m in the UFC and after all my previous fights. There’s a reason for everything. It just happened that I got signed at 28 years old. I’m glad that it finally happened and I just look at it in different ways,” added Camacho.

Dober, meanwhile, is a known a kickboxer and submission fighter as half of his 18 wins were by way of submission. He also had five wins by decision and four by KO against eight losses. The Omaha, Nebraska-born fighter has also not fought since beating Joshua Burkman by KO in UFC 214: Cornier vs Jones 2 on July 29, 2017.

Dober, in a separate interview by James Lynch on FSMMA, said that it took a while for the UFC to find him an opponent and he thinks Camacho is a right fit for him.

“Camacho has two Fight of the Night, so he could really swing. The UFC is looking to add some spectacle on the card with our fight. He is known for his strengths, but what’s really going to come out is the improvements I’ve made in the last couple of year with Team Elevation in Denver, Colorado. I’m not the same fighter in the last couple of years and I think it will show in this one,” Dober said.

[5
18960,19890,8285,3378
post-268780","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sports","tag-australian-damien-brown","tag-fsmma","tag-tko","tag-ufc
["GET
