(Roselyn B. SIS pulled off a 26-24 victory in the second set to tie the match and then completed its come-from-behind win with a tough 17-15 triumph in the deciding third.

With the victory, the Geckos swept their assignments this week. The Mili Saiki-coached team outclassed Seventh Day Adventist last Tuesday, 25-14, 25-14, 15-13. Last week, SIS also won all three sets of its game against Mt. Carmel School 2.

Agape, on the other hand, went 0-2 this week as it also fell to Grace Christian Academy 1 last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, besides the Agape-SIS tiff yesterday, three more matches were played in the middle school division at the various school courts here. Mt. Carmel School 2 hosted Saipan Community, while Grace Christian Academy visited SDA in Chalan Kiya, and Mt. Carmel School 1 faced GCA 2 at the Knights turf. Results of the three other matches were unavailable at press time.

The regular season games in the division will continue on Tuesday with SIS hoping to keep its winning run when it duels GCA 1 at the Geckos court and Agape aiming to regain its bearing when it hosts SDA. The two other matches on Feb. 6 will have MCS 1 challenging sister team MCS 2 and GCA 2 battling SCS at the latter’s court.

All eight teams will advance to the single-elimination playoffs at the end of the regular season with the No. 1 squad squaring up against the No. 8 finisher. Other pairings in the first round of the playoffs are No. 2 vs No. 7, No. 3 vs No. 6, and No. 4 vs No.5. The quarterfinals is tentatively set for March 2, while the semis games and finals may be played on March 6 and 8, respectively.

Saipan International School extended its streak to three after rallying past Agape Christian School in…

[5
746,698,1363,699
post-269322","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-carmel-school","tag-gca","tag-grace-christian-academy","tag-sis
["GET
