(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Internationally renowned classical pianist, Roman Rudnytsky, is returning to Saipan for another performance.<\/p>\n<p>The Friends of the Arts will sponsor two special concerts during Rudnytsky\u2019s visit\u2014a rare opportunity to listen to live classical music, played by a master pianist.<\/p>\n<p>Rudnytsky will be performing a special Magic of Love Concert on Valentine\u2019s Day evening, Feb. 14, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This concert of romantic music is open to the public at the cost of $8 for adult FOA members, $10 for adult non-members, $5 for students and children over age 4.  <\/p>\n<p>Special treats will be provided. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the concert will begin at 7pm. Reservations can be made by contacting Frank Gibson by phone or text at 287-7476 or by e-mail at flgibson@yahoo.com.<\/p>\n<p>The second concert will be on Saturday, Feb. 17, also at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center.  <\/p>\n<p>This performance will also be open to the public at the cost of $6 for adult FOA members, $8 for adult non-members, $4 for students and children over age 4.  The doors will open at 6:30pm and the concert will begin at 7pm.  <\/p>\n<p>The two programs will include differing selections each night from such classical masters as Chopin, Albeniz, Beethoven, Debussy, Liszt, Rachmaninoff and other musical greats, to include Debussy\u2019s Clair de Lune.  <\/p>\n<p>Each concert will have different selections of music. <\/p>\n<p>Young magician Neil Fama, grand prize winner at this year\u2019s Bridge Capital\u2019s CNMI\u2019s Got Talent, will entertain during intermission with a demonstration of his talent.<\/p>\n<p>Rudnytsky is an internationally active concert pianist of Ukrainian background whose frequent performances take him all over the world\u2014to every continent and places in-between. In addition to performances in capital cities and important musical centers, he often plays in places away from the musical mainstream, bringing the world and pleasure of classical music to audiences which seldom experience this type of music in live performance. He has received much acclaim in the world\u2019s press and many repeat invitations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of the Julliard School in New York, he also did additional studies at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland and at master classes in Austria (the \u201cMozarteum\u201d) and Italy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since 1972, Rudnytsky has been a member of the piano faculty of the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. He is a recipient of that institution\u2019s \u201cDistinguished Professor Award\u201d in recognition of his concert activities. He previously served on the piano faculties of the Indiana University School of Music (Bloomington, Indiana) and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory, in addition to being artist-in-residence at two Australian universities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During his two week visit to Saipan, he will travel to\u00a0many of the CNMI schools, playing\u00a0and discussing music with the students.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>This is Rudnytsky\u2019s ninth trip to the CNMI.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Rudnytsky travels at his own expense and donates his time to the community.\u00a0The Friends of the Arts, with the help of sponsors from the community, have hosted Rudnytsky\u2019s stay.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s sponsors are the Office of the Governor, Bridge Capital, IT&amp;E, Drs.
