The Administration for Native Americans, through its Pacific Region Training and Technical Assistance provider in Hawaii, Ka\u2019anani\u2019au, is once again offering a free workshop to help participants understand the ins and outs of exactly what ANA reviewers will be looking for as they review grant applications.<\/p>\n
This year, Okeanos Marianas Sustainable Sea Transport LTD managing director Emma Perez will be conducting the presentations instead of a video teleconference as was done during last year\u2019s workshop. <\/p>\n
According to Perez, applying for the ANA grant is a competitive process but doable given the right training. <\/p>\n
Perez is encouraging the community to come out and join her for the upcoming workshop that will be held from Feb. 7 to 8 at the Northern Marianas College. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s money that could really help the community but people need to know how to one, write the grants and administering the grant is a whole other story but I am really hoping to entice people to come listen,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
In these training sessions, participants will learn how to build a strong grant application, go over ANA\u2019s grant scoring criteria, and review submission requirements from the latest funding opportunity announcement.<\/p>\n
The 500 Sails Organization and the Carolinian Affairs Office were granted over $580,000 through ANA for a span of three years. <\/p>\n
