(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Women\u2019s Month is quickly approaching and the CNMI Women\u2019s Association and its partners are gearing up for a monthlong series of activities.<\/p>\n<p>The overall chair of this year\u2019s Women\u2019s Month celebration, Rose T. Ada-Hocog, president of CWA\u2019s board of directors, said the activities will include a proclamation signing, a day of prayer, the 2nd Annual March for H.E.R.S., a girls\u2019 camp, mini workshops on culture, dental clinics and outreach, a pajama-rama, and the annual two-day women\u2019s summit, among other events and activities.<\/p>\n<p>Various community organizations and agencies have volunteered to organize the activities, among them the Women\u2019s Affairs Office, Division of Public Health\/Maternal &amp; Child Health Bureau, Northern Marianas College, Carolinian Affairs Office, Division of Youth Affairs, Commonwealth Arts Council, Community Guidance Center, IPI\/ Corporate Social Responsibility team, and Marianas Young Professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The CNMI Women\u2019s Month celebration is spearheaded by the CNMI Women\u2019s Association and the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor for Women\u2019s Affairs. The CNMI has adopted \u201cPress for Continued Progress\u201d as its theme for 2018. <\/p>\n<p>With the\u00a0World Economic Forum\u2019s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report\u00a0findings that gender parity is over 200 years away, there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressforProgress.
