Sutherland<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>The regular season of the 2011-2011 Marianas Interscholastic Sports Organization Girls Soccer League continued last Thursday with Marianas High School 1 settling for a scoreless draw against Saipan Southern High School.<\/p>\n<p>It was the first time in five games at the Oleai Sports Complex Field that MHS 1 was held scoreless. The draw stalled the Lady Dolphin&#8217;s record to 4-0-1 (win-loss-draw), while Southern fell to a 2-1-2 card.<\/p>\n<p>The league-leading MHS 1 controlled the pace for the majority of the match, but the Lady Rays held strong on defense to foil the Dolphins&#8217; bid for their fifth straight victory.<\/p>\n<p>The season will continue tomorrow with Southern aiming for its third win as it faces MHS 2 at 4:30pm. MHS 2, which is composed of its junior varsity players, has yet to break into the win column after five matches.<\/p>\n<p>Kagman High School is also playing in the league and is ranked third in the field with a 2-2-1 slate.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the MISO boys basketball league will resume today with Kagman High School (1-2) and Saipan International School (0-3) colliding in the junior varsity game in the first match at 4pm. Then, in the second game, Grace Christian Academy&#8217;s varsity squad will take on the Mount Carmel School Knights, who are hoping to break into the win column after dropping their first five assignments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Walter J.
