(Contributed Photo)

The Corporate Social Responsibility program of Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC has launched an initiative called “A 2nd Time Around,” which supports various programs focused on helping re-integration into the community.

This initiative arose from CSR’s partnership with the CNMI Drug Court last year. Realizing the great impact of this partnership, CSR wanted to expand and do more. It was then that the partnership with the CNMI’s Office of Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation began.

SAR operates the HOPE Recovery Center and has identified that an immediate need of this recovery center is clothing for participants to use when attending their scheduled court appearances and/or interviews. In “A 2nd Time Around,” the team built clothes racks and solicited lightly worn clothes from IPI employees.

Among those that were donated and turned over to the HOPE Recovery Center were two clothes racks made by CSR and apparel that included long- and short-sleeved shirts, ties, trousers, belts, shoes, skirts, and blouses. Yvette Sablan, special assistant for Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation, received them on behalf of the HOPE Recovery Center.

According to Imperial Pacific International CSR senior director Geri Dela Cruz, this project was pioneered last year in partnership with the CNMI Drug Court and continues partnerships involving rehabilitation work.

This is also a creative way to promote the culture of civic engagement and involvement of Imperial Pacific’s CSR Program.

“We are a small community and we would love to see everyone be given a second chance. We have seen it before. There are many who were given a second chance and are now making a world of difference. We hope that other in the community would do the same,” Dela Cruz added. (PR)

The Corporate Social Responsibility program of Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC has launched an initiative…

[4
8034,6990,186,20123
post-270180","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-csr","tag-geri-dela-cruz","tag-initiative","tag-monday-imperial-pacific
["GET
