{"id":270194,"date":"2018-02-16T06:06:38","date_gmt":"2018-02-15T20:06:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=270194"},"modified":"2018-02-16T06:06:38","modified_gmt":"2018-02-15T20:06:38","slug":"uscis-expands-credit-card-payment-option-fees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/uscis-expands-credit-card-payment-option-fees\/","title":{"rendered":"USCIS expands credit card payment option for fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON\u2014U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced yesterday that it will now accept credit card payments for filing most of its forms.<\/p>\n<p>The new payment option is available for the\u00a041 fee-based forms\u00a0processed at\u00a0USCIS Lockbox\u00a0facilities. To pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, applicants will need to use\u00a0Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions.<\/p>\n<p>USCIS will enter credit card data into the\u00a0pay.gov\u00a0system, operated by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and will then destroy the Form G-1450 to protect the credit card information.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants for\u00a0naturalization\u00a0and those\u00a0renewing or replacing their green cards\u00a0can already use a credit card when they\u00a0file online\u00a0at uscis.gov. In addition, USCIS has been accepting credit card payments for naturalization forms filed at Lockbox facilities since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Current versions of all USCIS forms are available free\u00a0at uscis.gov\/forms.
