{"id":270986,"date":"2018-02-28T06:06:46","date_gmt":"2018-02-27T20:06:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=270986"},"modified":"2018-02-28T06:06:46","modified_gmt":"2018-02-27T20:06:46","slug":"ite-goes-paperless-billings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/ite-goes-paperless-billings\/","title":{"rendered":"IT&#038;E goes \u2018paperless\u2019 with billings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HARMON, Guam\u2014IT&amp;E has launched an initiative that encourages its customers to switch to online billing statements.<\/p>\n<p>The company projects that customers will save $3 every month on billing fees by choosing to eliminate paper statements.<\/p>\n<p>A portion of the billing fees collected would be donated to local non-profit sustainability and\/or recycling programs.<\/p>\n<p>The company calls the new initiative \u201cA Change that Matters,\u201d with the end goal of reducing paper waste and its negative impacts on the environment.<\/p>\n<p>Customers can make a small change with global impact by switching to online billing statements. Going paperless also saves customers money and time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that together we can make a small change that has a big impact,\u201d said Jim Oehlerking, IT&amp;E chief executive officer. \u201cGoing paperless means less trash in our local landfill and less pollutants going into the earth, air and water. In Guam and the CNMI, land is tied to the hearts and culture of the people. We\u2019re proud to work alongside customers to preserve what matters most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>IT&amp;E customers can access their latest statements and make a payment from any computer without having to stand in line.<\/p>\n<p>To switch to e-statements, customers must first sign up for their security password, if they have not done so already, by visiting any IT&amp;E store.
