The Saipan Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is looking to bring some fun to the golf course with a two-person scramble format.
\nMen and women of different skill levels and talents all have a chance at some amazing cash prizes\u2014first place, $800; second place, $500; and third place, $300\u2014for each of the two categories: Team Gross and Team Double Peoria.
\nThere will also be cash prizes for closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, and accurate drive contests.
\nIn addition to these prizes, golfers will enjoy complimentary swag bags courtesy of chamber members as well as on-course snacks and refreshments. <\/p>\n
The tournament is slated for April 14, 2018. Showtime is at 6am, with a shotgun start at 7am. The registration fee is $130 per person. Chamber members will enjoy a discounted fee of $120 per member. A banquet and raffle will immediately follow the close of the tournament. <\/p>\n
The funds raised by the tournament and raffle will support the chamber\u2019s scholarship program, monthly training seminars, and other community based projects. Among the activities offered in 2017 were:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Chamber scholarships:
\n\u2022 $8,000 scholarships to high school seniors,
\n\u2022 $2,000 scholarship to an Northern Marianas College student
\n\u2022 $2,000 scholarship to a vocational education student.
\n\u2022 Annual Career Exploration Day: More than 80 public and private high school students experienced working in the private sector for a day.
\n\u2022 Veteran Cemetery improvements
\nSaipan Young Professionals 2017 Toys 4 Tots Program: Over $2,000 and 2,000 toys collected for less fortunate children
\n\u2022 And more\u2026<\/p>\n
Raffle prizes have been donated and tickets will be available for purchase during the awards banquet at the end of the tournament. <\/p>\n
Sponsorships and raffle prizes are currently being collected and we expect this will be the most exciting year yet. <\/p>\n
