{"id":271568,"date":"2018-03-09T06:06:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-08T20:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=271568"},"modified":"2018-03-09T06:06:00","modified_gmt":"2018-03-08T20:06:00","slug":"5-1-magnitude-quake-near-pagan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/5-1-magnitude-quake-near-pagan\/","title":{"rendered":"5.1-magnitude quake near Pagan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 5.1-magnitude earthquake occurred near Pagan Wednesday night, but no one was reported injured and there were no reports of damage to property.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CNMI Emergency Operations Center, the earthquake happened 19 miles southwest of Pagan at 8:58pm.<\/p>\n<p>The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue tsunami warnings or advisories.<\/p>\n<p>Many residents on Saipan did not feel the temblor.<\/p>\n<p>Last Feb. 28, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake occurred near Agrihan. <\/p>\n<p>Five earthquakes recently occurred near Rota and Saipan in a week.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Geological Survey seismologist Aaron G.
