Jaymark De Guzman then led Islander’s attack at the start of the second half after scoring 8 points, while Sean Rabasto contributed 6. Jack Aranda and Mike Santos chipped in two field goals apiece to hand Islander a 60-37 lead.

Only two players scored for 8th Division in the third-quarter meltdown with John Jugos making 5 markers and Bry Bernardo adding a field goal. 8th Division never recovered after that, as Islander continued to run a balance offense to keep the big lead.

Meanwhile, three more games were played over the weekend with Saipan Vegas, Alamo RAC, and Budotz prevailing against their respective opponents.

Budotz walloped Pinatubo, 73-56; Alamo routed Batang, 61-41; and Saipan Vegas topped Thunder, 66-53.

Angelo Fernando paced Saipan Vegas with his 16 points, while Dennis Cortez and Randy Mungcal also finished in twin digits with 13 and 10, respectively.

Fernando registered 8 of his total points in the first quarter to lift Saipan Vegas to a 23-7 lead. The rest of his teammates took over in the last three periods en route to their easy win.

In the Budotz-Pinatubo match, the former saved the best for last to earn a 17-point win.

Down by one at the end of the third quarter, 46-47, Budotz tripled Pinatubo’s output in the final canto, 27-9. Raymond Velasco had 7 points in the payoff frame and he drew enough help from his teammates, as three of them made at least two field goals each.

In the final game last Sunday, Alamo scored 19 points against only 6 for Batang to turn a 28-19 halftime lead to a 47-25 advantage. Carl Aldan had 6 points in that third-quarter run to finish with a team-high 15 points.

Islander whipped 8th Division, 76-56, in the first game in the 2018 Civic Center Inter-color…

[5
7252,4788,7802,20040
post-271590","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-sports","tag-carl-aldan","tag-jack-aranda","tag-raymond-velasco","tag-saipan-vegas
["GET
